Thailand Weather in October
 
October in Thailand is a transition month, marking the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the cooler, dry season. Expect hot, humid, and sunny days (avg 25–31°C) mixed with frequent short, heavy afternoon showers, especially early in the month. The north is drier, while the west coast (Phuket) is wet, and the Gulf coast is starting to dry out 
 
Key Weather Patterns 
 
  • Rainfall: Rainfall decreases compared to September, particularly towards the end of the month, though showers can still be frequent.
  • Sunshine: Daily sunshine is common (around 6 hours), often interrupted by short, sharp downpours.
  • Temperatures: Warm and humid 
  • Northern/Central Regions: These areas, including Chiang Mai and Bangkok, see fewer showers and more pleasant, cooler temperatures, especially in late October.
