November marks late spring in South Africa and offers beautiful weather throughout much of the country.

You can generally expect:

Hazyview/Kruger Area: 64°F–84°F (18°C–29°C)

Johannesburg: 57°F–79°F (14°C–26°C)

Weather conditions, including rain, wind, extreme heat, rough roads, or other unforeseen weather events—may affect excursions, transportation schedules, or the itinerary.

Traces of Sunlight Travel is not responsible for weather-related interruptions caused by nature, suppliers, airlines, tour operators, or local authorities.

Flexibility is part of international travel, and itinerary adjustments may occasionally be necessary for safety or operational reasons.

🛂 Travel Documents & Entry Requirements

A valid U.S. passport is required.

Your passport must:

✔ Be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

✔ Be in good condition. No damage, rips, tears, and have at least one blank page.

For travelers arriving directly from the United States, there are currently no mandatory vaccinations required.

However:

• A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required only if arriving from or transiting through a country with risk of Yellow Fever transmission.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, health, and entry requirements before departure.

Flights are NOT included in your package price.

Each traveler is responsible for booking their own flights.

You will book a multi-city itinerary.

Arrive:

From your departure city to Cape Town International Airport (CPT) 

Depart:

O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) to return to your home city.

Please do not book flights until flight recommendations have been released.

Traces of Sunlight Travel does not book flights but will provide suggested flights so the group arrives and departs together.

Your remaining balance after the $300 will be divided into equal monthly payments.

• $200 applied toward your trip balance (non-refundable)

• $100 Traces of Sunlight Travel curation fee (non-refundable)

Payment Schedule

Monthly payments begin the month after booking.

Final payment is due September 1, 2027.

Travelers are responsible for making all payments on time.

Late Payments

Missed or late payments may result in cancellation of your reservation.

All deposits are non-refundable.

The $200 supplier deposit is non-refundable.

The $100 Traces of Sunlight Travel curation fee is non-refundable.

 

Cancellation Penalties

60–31 days before departure:

40% of total trip cost

30–7 days before departure:

75% of total trip cost

6 days to 72 hours before departure:

100% of total trip cost (No Refund)

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

No refunds will be issued for unused services.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
